Xclusive Team Member Praised for Life-Saving Action

We are proud to share an incredible story of heroism and service from one of our own.

On August 21, 2025,  Maykel Penalver, an Xclusive team member working at Evermore Resort in Orlando, FL, noticed a young woman collapse in a moderately isolated area. Without hesitation, he stopped to provide first aid until help arrived. Paramedics later confirmed that his swift actions were crucial in preventing the young woman’s condition from worsening.

Our partners at Evermore expressed their gratitude not only for Maykel, but also for Luis Arroyou Santiago, Randall Brito Garcia, and Carlos Orozco Tavares, noting that they “truly embody the outstanding standards that Xclusive Services provides.” They emphasized that our team feels like an integral part of the Evermore team.

We are honored to recognize Maykel’s extraordinary contribution and celebrate the commitment and excellence of all our team members.

outsourcing Update

Outsourcing Gains Ground in Charlotte

We’re excited to share updates across multiple markets for the Outsourcing Division! We’ve solidified our presence in two new markets for Janitorial Overnight Services:

  1. Dallas – Partnered with Stone Bridge Club Ranch to provide overnight janitorial coverage for the golf course, administrative areas, public spaces, and restrooms.

  2. Charlotte – Established our presence now as a Janitorial Overnight Kitchen Services provider, extending our full offerings in this market for overnight kitchen cleaning.

We continue to have ample engagement and lead opportunities in all our key markets, reinforcing our leadership in hospitality staffing and solutions, as well as providing our clients with full-service options in addition to supplemental staffing.

This expansion highlights two of our three main service offerings: hospitality supplemental staffing, janitorial overnight services, and turnkey outsourcing solutions, allowing us to provide full hospitality support to our clients.

Special recognition goes to Angel Aparicio and Nolan Tatum in Dallas and Amanda Cuas in Charlotte for their leadership in making these expansions possible.

It’s been amazing to see everyone actively engaging with clients in their markets, extending our services, and solidifying our leadership in janitorial and turnkey offerings. We look forward to announcing additional markets as we close out 2025 and move into 2026.

Introducing: Team Member Relations & Safety

We’re thrilled to share some big news! To make things simpler and stronger for everyone, Employee Relations and Safety & Security have officially joined forces to become Team Member Relations & Safety. This new department combines the best of both worlds: a single, united team dedicated to supporting you, whether it’s an HR matter or a workplace injury.

By working together, we can respond faster, communicate more clearly, and provide even stronger support to our customers and team members.

This team has implemented service standards and they aim to meet them EVERY DAY. We know that this will make a positive impact! 

What’s Changing?

We’ve simplified the process! We will now have one Manager on Duty (MOD) for evenings and weekends that will cover both:

  • Workplace injuries & safety concerns

  • HR incidents & team member matters

Enhanced Injury Response Process

At Xclusive, the well-being of our team is always a top priority. Our process changes are designed to ensure faster communication, better coordination, and a clearer experience for both injured team members and their managers. 

🛠️ A Team Member Relations & Safety Manager is assigned immediately after every injury report.

📞 The assigned manager contacts the team member right away to confirm medical care decisions and explain next steps.

🔁 Clear guidance and ongoing follow-up are provided throughout recovery.

📝 Managers will receive timely updates on restrictions and are expected to support modified duty as needed.

📲 Team members' preferred communication method (phone, email, WhatsApp) will be used for all communications.

September 14-20th is National Housekeepers
Appreciation Week

At Xclusive, our people are our superpower—and no one embodies that more than our housekeeping teams. September is National Housekeepers Appreciation Week, and we are taking this opportunity to celebrate the hardworking, resilient, and dedicated individuals who keep our properties shining across the country.

Our housekeepers go above and beyond every day to ensure guests have a clean, welcoming, and comfortable experience. Their commitment not only upholds the highest standards of hospitality but also reflects the very heart of our culture: service, care, and excellence.

To showcase our gratitude, we’ll be highlighting our housekeeping teams across all of our social media platforms throughout the month of September.

Action Needed:
We need the help of our Area and Property Managers to make this celebration special. During the first week of September, please take a group photo of your housekeeping team(s) on property. Then, upload your photo by using this form/link

📸 Important:

  • Make sure the property name is clearly included when submitting.

  • Submit by the end of the first week of September.

  • The Marketing Team will take it from there—featuring your team on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn with a proper shout-out.

  • Team members can now be acknowledged multiple times in the newsletter.

performance evaluations

Early Pro Tips

Last month HR completed meetings with all departments to formally introduce the evaluation process, the three phases, and what to expect through the end of the year as we prepare for our first official evaluation cycle in Q1 2026.

We know how difficult it can be too coordinate meeting times across time zones so thank you to everyone for their participation!

In the ongoing effort to ensure we all feel prepared and confident going into these evaluations, here are some pro tips that came out of the conversations that you can start using now. 

  1. Review your agreements: This includes your job description, employee agreements, or departmental agreements that apply to your position

  2. Take a practice self-evaluation and see where you may need some support

  3. Ask for clarity: Open conversations with your manager(s) now, especially if any evaluation statements are unclear to you

  4. Start a Highlights & Hurdles list: Set aside 15 minutes each week to reflect on your accomplishments and challenges

  5. Brainstorm development goals: Start thinking about what skills or experiences you’d like to grow in 2026. Bringing those ideas to your evaluation makes the 1:1 more productive.
